Here's who I am & what I do:
My name is Vanessa Hughey, and I am a Children's Educator. An Educator in my opinion, is someone who exemplifies the fruits of the spirit. Galatians 5:22 says: But, the Holy Spirit produces this kind of fruit in our lives: love, joy, peace, patience, kindness, goodness and faithfulness.
To teach and reach children, those fruits must be produced within.

My biggest goal is to help children learn, grow, and begin to express their emotions with the use of their voice. Social emotional skills are very important in terms of learning cognitively, as well as physically.
Everyday we are learning, growing, and teaching even as adults. Teaching is a form of love.

1 Corinthians 16:14 Let all that you do be done in love.

Mission Statement: Every child has a voice that needs to be heard, every teacher has an ear that needs to hear.


Carol M. Hughey:

Carol Hughey is my grandmother! Carol always had a passion for working with children, serving, and lending a helping hand. She always put the needs of her family and children first. Carol never relied on her own strength to get things done but by the Grace of God.
Carol owned her own in home daycare named ''Little Explorers'', for 15 years. My cousins and I all attended her daycare. If a person were to ever need childcare, Mrs. Carol Hughey was the woman to call. She always displayed creativity, love, and care. 

As Carol Hughey became of age, she often talked about owning a day care center. Whenever my family and I would go to visit, she would mention of course, a DayCare Center.
 Dreams will always live in your heart. 

The goal

The goal is to help and reach children by educating the importance of their voice through learning. The voice allows one to communicate, express, share, and release. 
Every child or adult has something to share  but, the words are hard to articulate. Most times, we need a listening ear or someone to just sit.
Carol's Angel's Learning Corner is a company that will provide educational services to promote learning. 
I am an educator who will meet with you, be open, and flexible with both you and child. 
 
Learning can take place via zoom, home, and or any location. Learning packets, songs, and craft kits will be available. The consistent age group is  from ages 2-10. 
Scheduling is easy. Pick a time slot any day of the week and mark your spot.

Services

Weekday/Weekend Tutoring

Tutor will meet in a public library to provide service. Tutor will provide learning materials, pencils, extra paper, learning charts, and learning games.

Tutoring Via Zoom

Zoom is an additional tool that can be used for tutoring. Your child will receive their own personal link for reoccurring tutoring sessions. Each zoom session will cover the subjects requested as well as take home review work.

Craft Saturday's

Schedule an enriched art session with me every Saturday of the month for a themed craft, story, and themed snack. All of the art supplies, and crafts are included in the cost. See you then!

Schedule Booking

Cancellation Policy:
Families may cancel up to 24 hours prior to the scheduled tutoring session. If the family cancels the tutoring session less than 24 hours before the session, the family will still be charged for that session in full. I ask that you please  be mindful of time and consider cancelling 24 hours before scheduled session. I understand that incidents may occur, in the event of that happening please be sure to give at least 4 hours notice before scheduled session. Due to emergency cancellation, cancellation charge is not implemented.

Welcome! I am Vanessa & I have my Associates & Bachelor's Degree in Early Childhood Education, and a Master's Degree in Psychology. Specialization- Child & Adolescent Development. I love creating crafts, learning songs, and games to further learning development. Every child has their unique way of learning and I look forward to exploring that direction with you and your child. Greetings Parents! My name is Brittany Wilkins. I have been an early childhood educator for 5 years. I have had a love and a passion for kids at a very young age. I’ve worked at summer camps and even provided childcare for many families from middle school and while attending Union College getting my associates degree in Social Science. I was a Head Toddler II and Pre K teacher for 3 years until I had my little bundle of joy in 2020. My goal is for every child is to enjoy learning while having fun.
